Here is my untold story, where it all began… A story that is inspired by many memorable days and nights of my youth, when I was exploring and experiencing the new world ahead of me.

I am a curious person, keen to tap into the unknown, and adventurous enough to try almost everything at least once. My travels all over the world, brought close friendships, long conversations that went into the wee hours of the night, novels were read, art was admired and good food was enjoyed. What can I say… I love my food!
My favorite meals were always the ones at authentic, simple and the best restaurants in the city that only the locals know about or alongside dusty roads far off the beaten path. Most of the time I would end up somewhere unknown with friends and they always ordered the best hamburgers, fries, milkshakes and the most delicious sides.
The best burgers were always simple, tasty – a bit messy, but definitely homemade with the best quality meat and only the classic quality ingredients; 100% beef, some lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, homemade ketchup and maybe a slice of cheese. The ultimate comfort food and so perfect in its simplicity. Burgers the way they should be.
I longed for such a place here in Amsterdam, a place where one can enjoy the best burgers, fries and milkshakes and feel at home. Fast forward to years later, the idea was born on a cold Friday night in December 2015 in Amsterdam: to do a simple thing well, and do it properly…
I take different cuts of pure and honest sourced all-natural beef, mince it fresh, prepare it by hand and cook it medium so it’s effortlessly juicy and tasty. I place it in a freshly baked organic brioche bun without any pretentious distractions. Serve it with a smile in an inspiring, cool and laid-back living room environment in Amsterdam. And that’s it!
So here I am sharing my passion. I look forward to meeting you…
Sincerely yours,
H.Burger
P.S. Feel free to stain the books I have in the bookshelf – after all, one cannot enjoy a great hamburger, fries and milkshakes without getting a little messy.
